Plastikos & Micro Mold
Although each mold has its own unique characteristics, there are similarities among them. Regardless of the part size or cavitation, monitoring the pressure within the cavity is critical during process optimization. Therefore, Plastikos utilizes eDART technology coupled with cavity pressure sensors in order to deliver an optimal tool and process, resulting in a superior product.
In addition to cavity pressure monitoring, Plastikos employs other methods of process monitoring and optimization. Shotscope® is often utilized in order monitor key molding
parameters, as well as detect and contain any non-conformant product. Furthermore, Plastikos operates with Moldflow Plastics Xpert (MPX®) in order to optimize and record a process during initial mold setup and production runs. MPX has also been a useful tool while training process technicians.
