Plastikos & Micro Mold
Each mold is custom designed and built in-house at Micro Mold. Our mold designers and engineers can create an initial blueprint and easily react to any changes that may occur on the part design, material selection or cavitation by utilizing multiple seats of computer aided design (CAD) software. In addition to our design services, Micro Mold is capable of fabrication, prototyping, sampling, and first article inspection.
Whether your part is large or small, high or low volume; Micro Mold can design and build a mold that best fits your product’s application. Over the years, we’ve built molds in various sizes and cavitation. For instance: a single cavity mold that produces a part the size of a grain of rice. We’ve also built hot-runner system molds that weigh up to 4,000 lbs and measure 23.75” x 35.50”. Further, we’ve produced production tools with up to 96 cavities, all of which are interchangeable within the mold.

Micro Mold has sought to go the extra mile in order to exceed our customers’ expectations. Every multi-cavity mold that we have built was designed and fabricated such that all cavities and cores can be interchanged with one another. Additionally, we routinely design and build in the capabilities for tools to run with Cavity Pressure Sensors. This added value is provided free of charge when these tools run production at Plastikos, and is another example of our desire to invest in and partner with our customers. |
