Green Company of the Year

On April 16, 2009 Plastikos was nominated the inaugural Green Company of the Year by the Young Erie Professionals (YEP!). Our efforts to become more environmentally conscious included:

• Reduce raw material consumption by 75,000lbs
• Reduce electricity consumption by 275,000 kilowatt hours per year
• Initiated paper / plastic / cardboard recycling program

These are just a fraction of the initiatives that Plastikos has made to become an environmentally sound manufacturer. As a result of our accomplishments, Plastikos was featured in Injection Molding Magazine in July, 2009.
