Processor of the Year Finalist

After researching the Processor of the Year award, we were confident that Plastikos could be a strong candidate for the award. Since then, the sales and marketing team have collaborated with each division at Plastikos (quality, engineering, accounting, etc) to present our capabilities and services.

Today, Plastikos earned the opportunity to become a finalist for the 14th annual Processor of the Year, presented by Plastics News. The finalists are selected by a panel of judges from Plastics News and Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC. To become a finalist for this award, a processor must demonstrate proficiency in the following criteria:

• Quality Control
• Environmental Awareness
• Community Involvement
• Sales and Financial Performance
• Technological Advancements
• Employee Relations

Plastikos was one of four companies selected to attend the Plastics News Executive Forum in Tampa Florida on March 9th, 2010. “Managing for Recovery” was theme of this year’s executive forum. During the executive forum, each company official offered their insight about plastics processing in the next five or ten years. Plastikos’ general manager, Philip Katen replied “One of the soft factors that America and U.S based manufacturers have going for us is that can-do attitude, that entrepreneurial spirit.”
